David Lynn is the President and founder of CrossWind Ventures, Inc.; he has more than 26 years of recruiting experience. Over the course of his career, he has worked all sides of the desk, from contingency placement to corporate HR, to independent consulting and executive recruiting. His HR experience includes compensation, relocation, training, generalist duties, and, of course, Recruiting. David has successfully recruited at all levels, from campus recruiting to C-level and direct-admit Partners in first-tier professional services firms. He has experience recruiting for industries including professional services firms, public relations/corporate communications, IT, engineering, healthcare, financial services, telecommunications, energy and computer hardware/software.
David has served in various HR roles for two Fortune 250 corporations, and he was a Director of Recruiting for a Big 5 Management Consulting firm. David has had VP and Director roles over recruiting functions for several companies in the Houston area.
During 2003 – 2004, David served as the elected President of the Global Technical Recruiters Network (www.gtrn.org), a non-profit professional organization that provides an infrastructure and framework for networking and cooperative efforts between the various Recruiter Networks across the United States and Canada. The GTRN is also a focal point for furthering the developmental opportunities for career recruiting professionals.
In addition to his prior responsibilities with the GTRN, David also served three terms as the elected President of the Greater Houston Recruiters Network (www.ghrn.org). The GHRN is a founding Member organization of the GTRN and is also a non-profit professional organization specifically for recruiting professionals in the Houston area. He has been involved in all stages of the organization’s history and growth, dating to the very first organizational meeting in 1987.
David has been a speaker on recruiting topics at numerous professional and industry conferences and seminars and has also served on the Board of the Houston Corporate Relocation Association.
David has been happily married to his wife for 25 years, and they have two children. He is active in his church, outdoor activities and serves on the Board of Innovative Humanitarian Solutions, a non-profit international humanitarian aid organization. He has participated in foreign aid trips to the Darfur region of Sudan and to Iran.
David received his BBA with a double major in Marketing and English from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1982.
